This ore sorting is interesting, but I must admit I prefer to speculate on NVA without it - just a personal preference - probably mostly because I don't fully understand it.
As you suggest, ore sorting would mandate more detailed grade control, along with more material handling, more equipment to operate and maintain, and possibly some amount of ore loss. Seems to me like there is enough higher grade material near the surface that they may elect to begin the mine with just heap leaching, then possibly look into ore sorting as the mine matures and expands., as the economics may start to become more attractive.
I look very much forward to wrapping my head around all this in the coming years with the feasibility studies. Its totally new to me and at the very least is interesting.
