I agree Pacey, what a totally stupid article. The guy speaks, as with authority, but has no idea of what he is talking about.

Can you believe an outragous statement like:-

"It is estimated that the OPEC nations could continue to extract oil at their current rate for another 80 years, even if they don't find any more."

What absolute unadultarated bullsh**.

He speaks about doing modelling himself and then tries to rubish The Club of Rome. The Club of Rome did not make predictions in the 70s, they modelled the future (and did it very well). I don't believe he has read "Limits To Growth"

He's an economist - that says it all as far as I am concerned. What a waste of space.
