So I’m just about to lock in some profits on WPL and was looking to sell one of my dog stocks to offset the capital gains.
PGH has been the mother of all dogs in my portfolio since I first bought it a few years ago at a DCA of $3.10
The only reason I might not sell it is if I thought it was a recession resistant stock.
I’m a bit of a noob and so here are my nooby thoughts:
Even though it operates in the materials sector a lot of their products go on to become consumer staple…y which is a resistant sector.
Even thought rising oil prices and inflation will lead to supply-chain issues and increased material costs could they pass these costs onto their clients??
That’s the end of my nooby thoughts.
So is PGH an example of a recession resistant stock or a dog waiting to be set free to live on a farm?
Thanks!
