Tesla on EV materials are two-faced very self serving game playing scoundrels at best.
When will PLL produce? Not this year nor the next? Lots of time to switch,
I think I said PLL relies on externals, meaning low cost opex and a hedge with borate market, is what helps it,
a billion MC before DFS—with a poor resource that can only be truly known once in production is a great risk. We’ve seen AJM and A40 fall over, though they had no downstream strategy, the underlying issue is how the resource quality impacts quality of product, and I mean at industrial scale not a bench lab test scale
its an unenviable resource that needs low cost inputs, hence why it may work in the USA but what’s in the ground is what matters. We have yet to see any of these poor resource stocks pull through with a lithium hydroxide plant producing day and and day out, battery grade lithium hydroxide.
Underestimating processing of ore has been the trend with poor resources.
