All well and good Pinto , but that does not explain why in the early stages of the breakout (when we were all under social distancing and anti- gatherings restrictions) we were advised NOT to wear masks and to go to the polling booths on the day in large numbers "because that would be OK" !
So if it's ok to stuff every other business in Australia , why not stuff up the football ?
If I remember correctly it was actually the NRL that stated when they would be starting up again , not the politicians so maybe the footballers should be running the country.
By your own admission :
"Now, if you've got say a monster football match on the calendar for the day you plan to reopen - you might make some rules around that - in fact, you'd be totally irresponsible if you didn't."
So stuff the virus , it would be "totally irresponsibl" not to have a football match . Gee , how could society possibly survive that !!!
As mentioned it's an amazing coincidence how the virus is able to exactly work into the timeline of a couple of football matches and elections.
It's quite obvious that in Victoria didn't get a copy of the script . They just need to hold the AFL grand final and have an election and the problem will go away , hey Pinto ?
Works everywhere else.
