An honest question, not sarcasm. I’ve never understood any of the conspiracy theories rife on every HC stock, like alleged cappers and what not. So here is my question. If a company holds enough stock to drive the share price down by dumping, then how can dumping their stake increase their holding over the long-term? If the market is that sensitive on the way down, don’t they risk it doing the same when they want to get back onboard? I really don’t get how selling could be a successful strategy to increasing your stake?
Until someone proves otherwise, my view is the short-term SP is mostly random fluctuations around a trendline. That’s why I don’t care about the price over the short term. My time-frame is 2 to 5 years. If the SP hasn’t moved by then, that’s the time I'll sell. I only bought QPM recently. Could have got it cheaper. But for me, that’s a big "so what", as my time frame for this stock is 5 years.
