    it is a good effective method at changing behaviour for the better or
    you just want to see them hurt


    you better wake the hell up --------------- 'punished severely' ----------- doesn't work, it makes matters worse

    More severe punishments do not “chasten” individuals convicted of crimes, and prisons may exacerbate recidivism.
