There are 3 aspects of this lengthy report that interests me:
(a) To what extent is the Chinese Government controlling its export
price of rare earths?
(b) If the Chinese Government is subsitising production, why is there
not complaints to the WTO re dumping?
(c) If the Chinese Government has to subsitise rare earths, then why is there
smuggling?
The whole Chinese rare earths export business seems opaque at best and
only time will tell when LYC & others start production what the real market
outside China is in product, price and volume.
