Robs15, sheep follow other sheep. I have seen some of the slanderous comment about RG on the CTP thread. That sort of stuff becomes self perpetuating after a while as every idiot tries to out do the next. I cant see how anyone can make a call on whos really to blame for what appears to be a dysfunctional relationship between CTP, ROG and BG management. The lay of the land is far from clear. A good start would be for CTPs management to take a good honest and very hard look at them selves. Really they held all the cards to begin with and to not give due diligence to both the selection of their partners and the quality of the governance processes that bind the relationship raises a big question of competence.
Is RG in it for himself? Hard to judge at this stage. Its very early days for his two principal listed companies. It is fair to say that there are no signs of him developing tangible shareholder value so far. His reputation principally rests with what he achieved at BHP. There is no doubting his industry credentials and his ability to deliver value as part of a large organisation. Whether he can achieve the same in a Greenfields situation and develop value for us shareholders...well the jury is still out. I hold CTP, ROG and RER shares so I have a vested interest in this guy delivering. I haven't given up yet and I certainly dont intend questioning RG's integrity until we have a clearer understanding of the whole picture. Cheers, Muzz
