1. A CSIRO report indicated insulation fires before Pink Batts was 2.4 per 100,000 houses. Insulation fires during/after Pink Batts was 2.5 per 100,000 houses.
2. New Zealand experienced a few deaths with idiots using staplers in the ceiling without turning off the electricity. The Department here warns the PM about it. So what! Its not possible to fully legislate against idiots.
Its like the Government being warned not to build a highway because a few idiots will kill themselves using it.
