Hi Chris - for what it's worth I have used Sanford's for a few years now and in my experience they have proven to be both quick and reliable.
I am a relatively active trader but have yet to find a discrepancy in their a/c or transaction records (or tread water pending release of funds)
I am not able to comment on thier ETO platform.
I note etrade has now introduced auto stop/buy and partial trade functions to their platform (similar to AOT) - an invaluable tool that may be worth pursuing .....?
For mine - I'll stick to the platform I know and trust in competition to perhaps see Sanford upgrade in time.
As to chess sponsorship - as many brokers as you care to engage mate.
