.Elections are all about promises and trust;
promises made by politicians and their
respective political parties and trust by
the electorate that these promises made will be fulfilled
Given that the French President has said that
our ScoMo lied to him and ScoMos pedantics
when he said that he hadn't attended Hillsong
in the past 15 years, does the electorate have
reason to believe ScoMo?.
Is that something akin to Bill Clinton's dictum:
"I did not have sexual relations with that woman"?
In the Ad/Sales business, puffing is used to
tell fibs about a product or service by over-emphasising
its features/benefits to a buyer.
Perhaps ScoMo thinks that that translates comfortably
into politics given ScoMo's Adman history.
"Puffing is a term in commercial law which means to convey an overstated belief about some good or service to a prospective buyer with the goal of making a sale of that good or service"(law.cornell.edu)
