My deceased uncle bought cba shares for 4 dollars each long before the GFC . He lived comfortably off the dividends. Only checked his porfolio when he got a statement from the broker every 6 months. Never bothered much about prices even during the GFC. When he died CBA was worth $80. What I am trying to say is chill out and dont worry about daily fluctuations. Too many henny pennies out there. The dows lasted the great depression and two world wars and came back stronger.
