    prancer,

Should qualify that by saying "Australian banks"....hehe.

Know exactly what you and Plimsoll are referring to - I bought my last home shortly after the GFC for $1.2M - with 80% coming from the bank.

Still paying the loan of course (after nearly 10 years), but the value of my home have gone up to $2.9M (my next door neighbour with a smaller house and land sold recently).

And I have been able to use the equity to build a portfolio of $1.3M shares.

Furthermore, my share portfolio value this year have gone up by $200k plus (after recouping losses I had previously).

Not like these "losers" who think they have done more research than us, by trying to down-ramp bank shares in order to make a few thousand bucks.

We got a hell of a lot more at stakes and we do hell more research than these "clowns".

If anyone is any doubt - go talk to any Financial Planner in Australia and you will see that one of the first things they suggest you do is put a portion of your funds into bank shares.

    AIMHO.

    DYOR.
