and yes they do chop and change shorting positions but the friday change was abnormal.....

by the end of the day they had decreased their overall short position

wed 11/7 --- 77,552,115 ... 9.28%

thur 12/7 --- 74,482,714 ... 8.91%....-0.37%

to

fri 13/7 --- 72,507,600 ... 8.68%....-0.23% QTR REPORT RELEASED

SO TO CLARIFY
FRIDAY

they bought back what they shorted 4m+ almost 2 million extra shares
( I THINK i SAID 5 mill IN A PREV POST ..SO THIS IS NOW CORRECTED )

as from WED they had decreased shorts on FRIDAY by 5 million shares and in the process they had bought back their own daily shorts....

they had stepped into the market to do buy backs after selling the stock short.......

Since this thread was started with a DUBIOUS HEADER from a fly in fly out poster.....I SUGGEST you start a NEW THREAD if you want to continue this conversation....as I consider the Posters SUBJECT header

to be designed to be misleading with the intent to cause panic

given the total shorts outstanding ...and we don't know the figures for mon to thur as yet.....it will require high volume days and a lot of dirty tricks for them to reduce their positions......

what they have done so far has put them on the ASIC RADAR SCREEN.....
