smoo70, the deal that we have with Springtree at the present time is an excellent one. They get shares allocated to them at only 10% less than the average volume weighted average price over a 5 day period. I don't think that Martin Rogers could have negotiated a better deal.
Springtree are an investment house and need to do what they can to maximize their 3 monthly profit so as to make a distribution to their shareholders. They are not long term investors, they can't be. Their shareholders expect a regular return - 3 monthly.
Springtree may be able to "manipulate" the sp on a short term basis but in the end it will be PRR's announcments that will cause the big spikes. When they happen (the spikes) Springtree will still continue to "manipulate" the sp, albeit from a higher base. As long as they make 15-20% per month they are more than happy. We need to understand/accept that this is the way that investment companies such as Springtree work. They came to the party when we needed them most. Good luck to them!
