Hi Mike.... Ex divi date was 20 March 09 paid 3.5c interim div.... I agree with comment many people bought in @30c level so are protecting what's left of there profits, so it's a bit self perpetuating.... they have won a couple of good contracts and will get a slice of the broadband rollout..... will also point out that they kept the 3.5c div even when the price had dropped to a low of .23 in Feb. At that time the day the price dropped fr 50c to 23c on 19 Feb it was because of their ann that their annticipated profit in the coming half yearly results would not be as high as previously predicted but that they still anticipated paying a 3.5c divi.

They had a week brfore the presentation of the half yearly report on 27 Feb to revise paying the div but they did not and paid the divi ie 3.5c on a 30c share! I have confidence in this company.

I don't see it retracting to the 20c range it has definite support at 37c so its a waiting game for those wishing to jump in, will it base around 39.5. A good comparison is EHL not in terms of companies but in terms of how the SP have been behaving as they went ex divi about the same time paying similar divis. EHL has been dropping but bounced yesterday with a retraction today. Generally compared to others SSM is a more defensive play not in fashion at the moment but is a great hold for LT......
