I am purely speculating here but the thought crosses my mind that the share price has been manipulated down to facilitate a big buyer taking a serious position in SBM through Deutsche Bank of the CR shares not taken up by retail investors which could be quite a few Millions with the share price currently @ $2.56.
There were at least 3 billionaires who held significant stakes in Atlantic Gold including Canadian Ryan Beedie with 30 percent, who helped bankroll the Touquoy mine and who has made serious money from this investment and it remains to be seen if he wants to continue to have exposure to the Nova Scotia gold story. Eric Sprott has also done well out of it. It would be interesting to know if there has been significant buying out of Canada in the last month.
