Steve Keen is just a man with an opinion, his opinion at the time got a lot of air play due to the nature of Australians high property ownwership and it sell papers and
rates well with the current affairs programs. We may say he is down on selling his house but in reality with branding appearances and lecture circuit,
he has earnt more the he has lost. As an economist how many of them are right all the time they just give opinions like everyone on this thread does, his views where just was popular with the media at the time, You can't really belittle the man for having an opinion if you have to be critical of someone be critical of the media.
As they know any big property value supplement increases circulation any Tv program on housing prices strikes a chord with the majority so in reality the media is pandering to greed and fear. Steven Keen was just a tool who was rewarded financially by the media. I ask if anybody on this thread would give there opinion for a few hundred K oops sorry everyone gives it for nothing a valid point to think about when you tell everyone what is happening to the housing market at least he got paid even though I still he is a bit out there.
