How can a reply to a post one one forum be moderated for being on 'the wrong forum'?.............. sorry 'mods', I don't get it. Please clarify.
There isn’t really any debate that the US economy is in terrible shape, other than from socialist-leaning Madness Monetary Theory subscribers.
>>>>>>>>>>Correct.
Either way the value of money is decreasing.
>>>>>>>>>>no. The value of ‘currencies’ is decreasing. Currencies being man-made exchange mediums (usually paper based ‘fiat’ currencies) with no upper limit on the amount ‘created’ out of thin air!.
PMs or crypto-currencies?
>>>>>>>>>>>>> PM are ‘money’ and have held that status for ions. PM’s require the input of labour and energy to create (dig / refine) it. Both are deemed to be a resource that diminishes in availability over time.
‘Crypto-currencies’ – is a bit of a misnomer. Some cryptos are money and some are currencies. Cryptos that have no defined maximum limit to the amount “coins” that can be created in the future, are ‘currencies’. Cryptos that have a defined maximum amount that can ever be created are ‘money’. Bitcoin for example is a classic ‘money’. It requires the expenditure of labour, time and energy to create via an electronic ‘mining’ process. The maximum number of Bitcoins that will ever be produced is 21,000,000. The last Bitcoin should be mined around the year 2140.
I have no clue but PMs are doing much better than Bitcoin for the moment with a market cap of 9 trillion (from memory) while Bitcoin is 300 billion.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> I won’t get into the pro and cons of PMs vs Cryptos here. Current market values of each, are not relevant. It is what will eventually transpire in the future that will matter.
Suffice to suggest that if you only hold PMs, you are potentially missing out on massive future returns as Cryptos become more and more accepted globally by major banks, investment hedge and super funds, Governments and the global mainstream populous.
