telstra will not bid unless it has written guarantee it wont be split. period. shareholders are more important than some rival offshore company, especially when superfunds are so heavily skewed to the gorilla. something will transpire in favour of telstra but it wont get all it wants, there will some concession somewhere that no one has identified.
