Novonix were/are never going to sell to Tesla directly.
Novonix won't sell directly to Tesla, they sell to Panasonic who make the batteries for Tesla. Novonix owns the IP, Tesla designs the battery, Panasonic makes it, Novonix provides the graphite and IP.
