ognid - most trading accounts have 3 day settlement. The difference between daytraders and T+3 traders is simply that the former like to sleep at night without worrying about what the DOW is doing......
T+3 people are prepared to take more risk in the hope of milking a bit more out of a spike or run. This is especially true in current market conditions, where the DOW can tank spectacularly overnight for no reason that was remotely apparent the day before.....lol
