For now, for some (investors), that may be true, too much risk.
This isnt fully consistent with feedback I have gotten from battery experts though.
Some claim that there will be alot of pressure on the graphite market at current production rates by 2019.
So if this is true there could be a crunch in 18/19 that might seem Lithium type hype in the graphite industry.
China is pushing this EVs industry hard and I think Trump will come to the party for the simple reason
that he wants to create jobs, this is the card Musk is playing instead of the global warming card and its probably the best strategy. Tesla is a big employer, currently 30,000 and they want another ~11,000 people more which will bring them to 40,000+ employees. Alot hinges on Teslas success and the Model 3.
