Well that escalated!!! Reading msn and news.com.au isn’t research, it’s only good to find out what my kitchen rules is doing or who hooked up with who on married at first sight.

i own a huge amount of BHP shares outside my SMSF superannuation. It’s not the SMSF sector that individually hold billions in large cap stocks. I work in this finance/funds management field. Australia’s largest investors are the pooled superannuation funds, infact they have more FUM combined than the entire ASX which is why you’ll find they have circa 15-30% of total FUM in the ASX. How about you log onto Australian supers website and go into the balanced fund, it’ll show you exactly what I’m talking about. Billions on behalf of Aus only. Add up all the options and you’ll see they could hold anywhere from $2-$3bn in BHP, CBA and CSL since they are e largest cap stocks. This is just one fund. Many smaller funds exist which half or so the FUM. Although the total SMSF space is slightly larger than retail or industry funds alone. Maybe google Australians Superfunds FUM, you’ll see it’s among the largest in the world.

You haven’t listened or understood a single thing I said. I don’t even think you realise commodities are sold in USD. Which is why a low AUD is so good right now for RIO and BHPs iron ore. Also why most these large cap miners and oilers report their financials in USD, and dividends in USD.

Honestly google a couple of things that I said. You’ll find it to be correct. Heck, even google custodian banks and what they do. I doubt your news.com.au journalist had any idea what that even is. All the information there and it’s free to read. Follow my posts and google what I say if it’s ‘rubbish’. Happy to be disproved on my industry knowledge from working and consulting and or my own research. However you’re asking some pretty basic stuff that any basic research should pick up.
