    Other than GPs you basically just listed unskilled jobs which locals don't want hence immigration fills the gap. They are low paying jobs with generally terrible conditions that are quite depressing and you wonder why locals don't want to do it?

    Even GPs anyone graduating from medicine in Australia wants to be more than a GP. It's a fall back/last resort if they cannot get into a speciality. My brother is a consultant anaesthetist and finished his training about 10 years ago. From his year at uni probably less than a handful of people became GPs and that was after failing multiple times to obtain a specialty. In fact they lost a few to suicide as it was their first failure in life and they couldn't cope that their life long ambition was not achievable. These people likely would have made amazing GPs but it was not their goal.
