Early Kiyosaki is WELL worth quoting! Regarding housing, he states (from 30 years ago, "If You Want To Be Rich, Don't Go To School"):

'You need to own 4 houses - 1 to live in, 1 to pay your taxes, and 2 to live off.'

Excellent stuff, which no-one teaches you at school, at the pub, nor over the dinner table....for most people.
