Then the US futures must be positive, for now.

This is a risk on, risk off, type of market intended to drive the unprepared speculator into a mental institution. Martis' calls on the XJO thread add a bit of background drama for those willing to take his posts as gospel. Perhaps he will be right next year.

I still think the US markets will head a bit lower, before going higher again in December.

There must be great trading opportunties out there for you given the level of volitility. Personally, I find the market pretty tiring, and am thankful that SLR had a very good run recently.
