Shorting is what your documentary should be about, people, supposedly using shorting as a genuine hedge against their prime investment. That's absolute bullshit, shorting has become a primary investment in it's own right. The ASX conducts two Stock Exchanges.
And, the odds are stacked in their favour, from the first dollar that they put into a short contract. The very antithesis of what stock exchanges were meant to provide. Now they have two sources of revenue COMPETING AGAINST each other, with diametrically opposite intentions!!.Your documentary should be highlighting the very contrdadiction that shorting is to genuine investing in the very reason for which Stock Exchanges were designed.
And the criteria for listing in Index Funds is an absolute disgrace. Lake is a classic example of how flaught S& P's crireia are. Here's a company with NO EARNINGS, NO immediate certainty that they will ever have earnings, not even a proven source of production, and great doubt that their prime asset is even viable. Yet, it is PROMOTED to the ASX300, which precipitated a massive leap in its SP, and to make it worse, was further PROMOTED to Australia's elite, Prime, investment platform, the ASX200. Lake Resources!!! What a joke.
And, IMMEDIATELY, that joke was jumped upon with vengeance by major International financial institutions, who between them captured over 11%, around 140 million of that company's shares, and have shorted them into the dirt.
You do have a great story in Lake, but, I'm absolutely dead certain that your motives and reasons, and your story, are far from exposing all the facts. But, good luck, because you and your funders will cetainly need it if it turns out to be a personal witch hunt. Some posters on HC should also fear from the potential repurcussions!!
