In the last webinar, Scotty-from-TSR stated

“By having these smaller modular units, the trains, we can actually commission and start-up the first train without grid connection. It delinks us from that delivery program for the grid connection and allows us to get ahead of the project and be ready for when the grid connection becomes available. We can actually start work before grid connection.

So if LKE can commission train #1 (12.5ktpa), without grid connection, then why don’t they do it today?

If there’s no other major gaps, then why wait until 2028?

IMHO, LKE have made the grid connection Kachi’s only critical path item, to intentionally take the focus of other problems like “scaling up, a problem with funding, producing LCE, or whatnot…”
