I just wanted to share a link to a 1 hour video put out by Supply Chain Insights (SC Insights) - headed by Andy Leyland. They have put out some very insightful stuff previously - particularly in terms of C1 Costs for the different routes to BG Lithium. They have updated and expanded on this in the current release....I've attached a couple of screenshots for reference.
Interesting to see where the C1 Cash Costs for "Salar (Arg Tier 2 DLE)" fall in comparison to the other routes to BG Lithium Carbonate. Also note that the C1 Cash Costs shown for Lepidolite and Low Grage Ores at the high end of this cost curve are only for Technical Grade....and would need further processing (at an additional cost) to reach Battery Grade product.
Have a look at where their forecast for battery grade (BG) Lithium Carbonate Spot Price (dark blue line) is for 2028 - Lake's first full year of production. Keep in mind that by 2030/31 the economy of scale at Kachi would really be expected to be kicking in.
Their thoughts on where C1 costs sit for Argentinian DLE based projects versus other routes to BG Lithium Carbonate give a great perspective. I found their commentary across the board insightful, found the video very worthwhile watching and wanted to make sure you all had access to it - if you haven't already seen it, or their full body of work.
