Today is not the first time that I have unpopular on the PLT Thread for questioning whether everything is going to play out in the way that management has claimed.
I refer to the Chinese placement, where my suspicions turned out to be well founded.
I was also the first to point out that the TIMETABLE HAD SLIPPED ON THE FER DEAL. Nobody else was clued on to that, and yet PLT announced it 24 hours after my post.
Now, time for a few around here to RESPECT THE TRACK RECORD>
Let me say it loud and clear:
CURRENT TRADING IN PLT IS SIMPLY NOT CONSISTENT WITH THE TAKEOVER TAKING PLACE AS ANNOUNCED.
A company as well connected as PLT should have no trouble at all in "dressing up" the share price a little to make sure that the information in the bidders statement looking a little better rather than a little worse.
Happens all the time.
Time to get used to PLT remaining independent I reckon.
