Good points, Pavel. At the moment, it's difficult to predict which battery type will win the race. According to the CATL Tech Day 2025, a good part of the future belongs to sodium batteries. That's bad for lithium batteries, although interesting innovations (and not just those with LFP) were demonstrated there too. As far as I know, sodium batteries do indeed have manganese in the cathode. To be honest, it's difficult to keep track.
If European carmakers fail completely and China takes over here too, it's safe to assume they'll source raw materials locally. For example, there's already speculation about possible Chinese involvement at our lithium neighbor EMH. However, I'm hoping for a decisive push from VW and others to turn things around.
