As far as I am aware Dow Theory has never been proven as forming the basis of a reliable trading or investment system anyway.
And it was never intended to be that by Mr Charles Dow.
Therefore confirmation by the Transport Index could hardly be hard and fast "rule" that could undermine the relevance of the theory.
In my view many many aspects of Dow Theory still have very good application to markets at any time.
