Grant you that profit making is what any index is about.
But - I understood (/stand?) that the Dow Theory views the Dow Jones Index as the primary indicator of the state of the US business health, with the Transporrt Index (which moves the US-produced product) as a confirmation or denial of this reading.
Norcini (to my mind) is saying that US transport is no longer moving US production, but moving Chinessse imported products to IS stores where the US consumer will buy them - i.e. ot no longer indicates US outputs ( perhaps rather US imports).
Makes a lot of sense to me - as I drive my cab! -(:-D)
