Nicely written post but you have come a bit late to this realisation, at least publicly on Hotcopper.

The only positive spin I can say for the goldies is that if this scenario plays out, there is still the possibility that a much lower AUD, wages and many other key costs in the mining industry could in combination save many of the Oz based goldies, and even make some of them fairly profitable.

However, it seems safest to sit on the sidelines to let the dust settle first rather than find out the outcome while holding a heap of goldies.
