SP , will have to disagree with you with regards to real estate.

Sure, just in pure dollar terms, if you look at the first chart here, it does appear that real estate has been on a tear since 1980 as you say.

Check out the second chart however, it doesnt look as great.

When compared to gold (and most other commodities) real estate peaked back in 04/05 and could very well head back down to the 200 ounce mark.

Those buying real estate aren't looking at the bigger picture imo.
