"Initial floatation results from the preliminary metallurgical testwork program have been very encouraging. Good floatation was achieved in the first two samples with high recoveries of copper, gold, and silver to maximum
values of 97%, 95%, and 85%. This rougher stage floatation testwork is working with a composite sample, and aims to identify the optimal conditions for floatation. The testwork will examine the effectiveness of floatation on the three ore types, as well as of a combined master sample."

"Metallurgy
Gold (which accounts for more than half the resource value) occurs as free gold, with silver in electrum, and
in the sulphide species including pyrite, and in the dominant copper-bearing sulphide enargite. Initial work
indicates that up to 30% of the gold may be recovered by a gravity circuit.
Initial floatation results from the preliminary metallurgical testwork program have been very encouraging.
Good floatation was achieved with high recoveries of copper, gold, and silver to maximum values of 97%, 95%, and 92%. This rougher stage floatation testwork was with a composite sample, and aimed to identify the optimal conditions for floatation. Further testwork showed that 25% of the gold and silver was reporting in a pyrite concentrate. The balance was in an enargite dominated concentrate, which had high arsenic levels above normal refinery limits. A number of technologies have been developed for the treatment of such refactory ores. Options include Bacterial Leaching, Pressure Oxidation and Albion Process.
Conquest has commenced hydrometallurgical studies with samples sent to the Albion Lab in Brisbane, owned and run by Core Resources. The aim of this work is to identify the optimal method for treatment of the Mt Carlton material.
The company is optimistic that the mineralisation will be recoverable using a combination of floatation, solvent extraction electro-winning (SXEW), gravity separation, and cyanide leach recovery of precious metals"
I still haven't had a good look at the Qtrly just released but will do so this weekend.
