Yet another sound piece of advice. I'll be hanging in waiting for the market to turn. I have been looking at the cash reserves of some juniors to see how long they can hold out. Some, like CRK, can hold out for years, others seem to have difficulty controlling their expenditure and may run out of cash. The key for me is the size of the reserves, the grades, how easy it is to mine and the estimated cash costs PLUS, most importantly, the amount of cash they have on hand and how long that will last without the need to raise more cash. I would want a junior to have at least enough cash for two years.
Gold when I last looked was $A1,280 and $US876.60. It seems to be firming.
I wouldn't be at all surprised to see a break out over $US900 early in the new year.
My view is that this is one of the best buying opportunities ever. I have been topping up at these absurd levels.
I believe 2009 will be very different for holders of shares in gold juniors.
