The Climate change argument is, No below ground hydrocarbons into the atmosphere, this includes Natural gas. Although costly Govts could legislate that steel manufacturers use above ground carbon sources, eg trees but unlikely short term.
Only when industrial emissions are trapped, converted and safely discarded will the market sentiment of coal not be negative. At present it is very costly to split CO2 into carbon and oxygen so this will not occur any time soon.
BRL will never attract a market sentiment like Lithium, Rare earths,cobalt etc etc so will always be at a discount.
Don't get me wrong, I'm heavily invested in BRL but the talk of 40cents a share I just can't see.
