Someone, maybe one of your fellow posters, is attempting to engineer a short position in BFC.... & likely a profitable exit by pushing the price down on relatively low volume.
This shorting excursion only commenced around ~ Jan 19th (see monthly chart) and is relatively minor & stable at an aggregrated 0.28% of total shares on issue. The short sales took place at prices above 50 cents so the recent push below 50 will enable shares to be repurchased & a profit made.
The drifting share price spurs uncertainty, the shorters friend. It is aimed at eroding BFC shareholder confidence, both harnessing int'l weakness & the short period ahead until the upcoming significant announcement.
Given advantageous $AUD & evident building Asian demand for Australian produce (particularly at Chinese New Year) is any weakness in BFC warranted? Are we being manipulated by a few, without any basis?
