We all make decisions about who and what we listen to. Me - I try to listen to everything. A good mental strategy to overcome our natural inclination towards 'confirmation bias' is try and create a convincing argument that is 180 degrees (the polar opposite) from your beliefs.

Don't be too harsh on yourself - everyone struggles to accept views that oppose their beliefs - me included. It's what you learn from experiences that counts - I think.

Always, always use your own judgment in these things. I can tell you that no one cares more about your financial health than you.

This is a big call but I'm starting to think that the majority of spec stocks are 'lifestyle' companies. It seems that a lot are there to support the lifestyles of the BOD with inflated salaries, expense accounts, so called business junkets flying first class, leased European cars, five star accommodation and let's not mention the after hours leisurely activities some partake in.....all at shareholders expense."
Yes ... I tend to agree. Very difficult to make this claim with complete accuracy but looking for the telltale signs is a very useful thing to do - I think.
