the options are free, you don't have to pay anything - now you can either sell them if there is a marketable parcel there, buy more options or exercise the options one day at the stated share price for them if the FNP share price rises enough to make that profitable for you. The idea is, in my mind, by giving us free options, is to encourage our interest in FNP so that we buy more options and turn them into shares one day turning a nice profit in a few years. Its all part of marketing strategy to reimburse/reward us for staying with FNP during their bad time and encourage us to invest more in due course.
