Is the Prime Minister Sexist and Misandryst?

    From Wikipedia:
Misandry ( /m?'sændri/) is the hatred or dislike of men or boys. Though the concept is ancient, the word did not appear in most dictionaries until the second half of the 20th century. It was commonly seen as a neologism in the early 1970s.
Misandry was formed from Greek misos (µ?s??, "hatred") and aner, andros (????, gen. ??d???; "man").
Misandry is the antonym of philandry, the fondness, love, or admiration of men. The female counterpart of misandry is misogyny, the hatred or dislike of women.

In the last 30-40 years – that is if you forget the original Suffragettes – social attitudes have been shaped by movements to establish the patriarchal nature of modern Western society and of men as a dominant and privileged category of people. In that context, we have the counter-reality of women's oppression, male privilege, and men's enforcement of both. It is hardly surprising then that educated women may resent or even hate men.
Or to put it in more sympathetic context, modern society has come so far that -, apart from a few Troglodytes in the Melbourne or Sydney Club – educated women “can do anything”. Which fosters impatience to “actually be allowed to do anything”?

If you look at human history over the last 100,000 years – shaped partly by ongoing human evolution, but more so by the huge fluctuations in climate and environment which occurred in that time - then it becomes clear that it is only in the last 20 years or so that the average family could act as an independent unit, and make decisions about who works and when, Migrants to Australia led the way with family businesses and restaurants. However, still in Asian rural countries and only 2-3 generations ago in Australia, people had large families to work the farm.

This is background to my question of whether the Prime Minister is Sexist and Misandryst.
Two issues concern ne, the first being the accusation of “sexism” against a critic or political opponent, as if “sexism” is an argument. IMHO, it is a sign of anti-intellectualism and a retreat to name calling...

The second is the vitriolic attacks on Abbot, which display a distinct hatred of a class of men. One can disagree with an opposing politician, and distain their company, but vitriol seems over the top and is meant to wound. Class hatred of men displays a character which is mysandryst. I suspect Keven07 is a similar victim.

Yes, IMHO, the Prime Minister is Sexist and Misandryst.
