Since we cannot do naked short selling. Is covered Short Selling now coming the new selling. For instance if I own X amount of shares and I am sitting on a 100% profit, I decide to short sell what I own, because I am happy with 100%. It happens to go up so I close the short by selling what I own. I still get my 100% less costs. If it goes down, I still get 100% less costs. either way I am now hedged. As either way I don't loose capital.
