This sort of recombination is most likely to produce new variants that will invariably catch antivaxxers by surprise.

Unable to respond to new hybrid variants quickly enough unvaxxed people will be greatly exposed to a fatal or debilitating covid attack.

I have named a possible variant the Terminator that could easily have a death rate of 5% --well above the current death rate of current variants.
