Now that the dust has settled on the Aston by election it's interesting to have the usual word salad smoke screens to explain away the result from various Liberal Party mouth pieces. There have however been a few brave souls that have flirted even be it for a nanosecond with the reality. I was watching the most recent episode of Q & A on the ABC, god only knows why, any way, they had Greg Mirabella and in the last few moments of the show he nailed the problem with the Liberal Party as it is now, though indirectly. He said words to the effect that Austalians want everyone to get a fair go.

Well, all people have to do is remember the 9 years of Coalition Government to know that the Liberal Party doesn't take fairness into account in their deliberations. Why would anyone vote for more of the same when many of the same people that gave us the unlawful Robodebt scheme for instance, still sit as Liberal M.P.s in our Parliament, especially when it won't many one iota of difference to the sitting Government and only reward a Party that proved by their own actions that it was/is in it's current state, unfit to hold Government.

Clearly, to the credit of many in the electorate of Aston they shook off the fog of cognative dissonence and rejected the hoop holing, rorting, small minded cruelty, poor judgement calls and general fu**wittery that was the 9 years of their Government. Though Malcolm Turnbul tried hard to reverse the spiral into the abyss at least he tried, nobody can honestly say the same for Tony Abbott and Scott Morrison, with Morrison IMO by far being the worst of the two.

The Liberal Party IMO has a future if it shakes off the Influence of the less than admirable in their ranks and removes them from the Party Room and at all times keep in mind that Austalians want every one to get a fair go.
