Foster Stockbroking is backing some of Australia’s gold producers with “buy” recommendations with the $A gold price up 12 per cent since November.
It says miners such as Saracen (SAR), Regis (RRL) and Silver Lake (SLR) are benefitting from the $A price along with other catalysts.
“Besides the higher $A gold price, these companies have other positive drivers: RRL’s production should return to normalcy in FY15 following floods of last year; SAR is expecting lower costs at Carosue Dam in FY15; and SLR’s focus on Mt Monger and reduced capex in FY15 should improve cashflow,” Foster Stockbroking said in a note to clients.
