Probably had an arguable case until you said the UK was in a death spiral because:

    • Assange, "who has committed no crime apart from honest journalism" - Assange ain't no journalist. Journalists don't just dump complete information files out in public without consideration. Its even more egregious when the files dumped contained personal medical details, the personal details of teenage rape victims and even disclosed details of homosexuals in Muslim countries.

    • It has "Cameras everywhere eliminating privacy". Putting aside that loss of privacy in "public" doesn't really equate with a country death spiraling, the US and China must have already gone, gone, gone down the gurgler with both having approx. 2 x as many cameras per 100 individuals as the UK.

Then of course, the UK doesn't have China's social credit system which is based on many data points, from financial creditworthiness to social factors assessed by the Communist Party, such as honesty, hard work, and devotion to family.

China has national and regional blacklists that are based on individual violations of its social policy, and a poor score impacts a person’s ability to travel, gain employment, or access credit and you worry about the UK's loss of privacy?
