Is the USA a failing State?

The GOP has discredited itself by remaining mute in the face of Trump shenanigans which even the conservative US press is calling out.

Thrump has taken the Demolition Ball to US foreign affairs and long term friendly nations by bullying and trade tariffs. Even the US close
neighbours, Canada & Mexico have been negatively impacted.

And Trump has not done Australia any favours. He first tried to ban our meagre steel & aluminium exports to the USA until Malcolm Turnbull
brought the fine print of Australia's FTA to his attention. And to put the tin hat on it, he unfairly displaced Aussie farmers from the China market
with a trade bully dal last January; the details hare still being played out on Chinese wharfs.

IMO, the USA has lost skin on the global diplomacy front and trading nations and the EU are not likely to embark on FTAs with the USA given that Trump promptly tore up the NAFTA at a whim!

Unfortunately the Biden frost 4 years will be fully occupied with domestic relations mending leaving the Trump legacy in foreign affairs & trade to fester, IMO.
